Cisco evangelist Ravi Namboori said Cisco demonstrated its complete array of cloud products and services, including video, broadcasting, and so on at the CES in Las Vegas on January 5. The purpose was to show to customers and partners on how gainful customer-centric business could be driven through the cloud in order to allow vendors and media companies change the way they do their business, customer experiences, etc.

Cisco demonstrated how Videoscape Cloud solutions can virtualize and organize video tasks in lesser time with dedicated infrastructure to media and entertainment companies and Pay-TV operators, said Namboori. Cisco said Videoscape solutions including Cloud DVR transfer more functionality to the cloud, enabling operators to make it fast and easy to add service features, offering consumers the ‘follow me anywhere’ video experiences which are much sought after.
Cisco claimed that it only it can offer Pay-TV, media, vendors, and entertainment companies a full suite of open standards-based cloud solutions, which will let them scale up their business, cut costs, and enhance speed. Their services include OpenStack software solutions, Videoscape Cloud Services the Intercloud, the Evolved Services Platform (ESP), Cisco cloud-scale unified computing system (UCS), Big Data, analytics, among others.
