F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College is a business school, which is located in Wellesley, close to Boston in Massachusetts. It offers both undergraduate and post-graduate degrees primarily in entrepreneurship.

Babson College offers undergraduate courses costing an estimated $62,440 a year, which include tuition, other fees and accommodation. The two year program of master in business administration (MBA) costs $124,818 approximately. Smaller in size than other business schools, it is reputed for its entrepreneurship training. The campus of Babson College spans an area of 350 acres.

Although founded in 1919, it became a general business school in 1979. It is mandatory for freshmen in Babson to take Management and Entrepreneurship Foundations. Each year $3,000 is given to students to float a business. If profits are gained from those enterprises, they are donated to charitable causes. The students are forced to down the shutters of their businesses at the end of the year.

Babson also offers a Summer Venture Program, a ten-week course, known as an accelerator program, in which students having products that are worthwhile, according to the faculty, are admitted into it. The students of this program undergo training in the summer. The college also avails services of mentors from outside.

At the graduate level, the college offers MBA, Master of Science in Management (MSM), and Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) programs.

The various academic disciplines include accounting and law, arts and humanities, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, history and society, management, marketing, maths and science, technology operations and information management.

There are also advising educational services for undergraduates and graduates, besides counselling.

Its centers and institutes include Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship, which in its 6,000 square foot area houses Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference (BCERC), Entrepreneurship Division faculty, Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practices (STEP) project and the John E. and Alice L. Butler Venture Accelerator Program.

The other centers include Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership, The Lewis Institute, Retail Supply Chain Institute, and Stephen D. Cutler Center for Investments and Finance.

The library offers e-books and audiobooks too, apart from the conventional ones. An Interlibrary Loan is offered to students which give them sanction to request books that are not listed in the library catalog or its databases. Students can avail research support and services.

The college’s notable events are Back to Babson, Blank Business Plan Competition, Blank Rocket Pitch Competition, Founder’s Day, International Education Week, Midnight Breakfast, Martin Luther King Legacy Day, and Multicultural Fair.

Arts programs in Babson College include the Babson Richard W. Sorenson Center for the Arts, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, and Students Participate in the Arts. Besides, there are also athletic and recreation programs, health and wellness services, volunteering and community services, among others.

Notable alumni of the college include William Green, the former CEO of Accenture, Bob Davis, founder of Lycos, Arthur Blank, founder of Home Depot, Ernesto Bertarelli, founder of Serono, among others.

In the year 2013, around 75% students were US citizens, while the remaining 25% were from other countries, of which 15% were Asian Americans.

In 2013, CNN Money gave the college fifth rank in its ‘colleges with the highest-paid grads’ report. The year 2012 saw Babson College being ranked eleven among US schools as far as return on investment was concerned by the Bloomberg Businessweek.

US News & World Report gave Babson College's undergraduate entrepreneurship program a number one ranking for the 17th consecutive time in the year 2014. Its MBA program was given the number one ranking for the 21st time in entrepreneurship by the same organization. According to PayScale’s college report, Babson alumni rank fifth in the highest median pay from amongst more than 1,000 schools and 130 majors surveyed.
